We all can pretty much see where the part Rilla is coming from. Exactly- Gorilla. And when a Trainer sends out a Pokemon, he shouts "GO!"

So while sending Rillaboom into battle, Trainers will be shouting "GO! Rillaboom!", which, when said quick, sounds like Gorillaboom.

This is fucking based and clever imo.
