Why would they do this? Gen 2 starters are the most forgotten and people were upset at Serperior and Samurott's typings IIRC.

I mean you could have posted Serperior (OU) or Delphox (an NU dual typed starter) if you were trying to argue in favor of pure typing not being bad or just being a part in multiple factors to what makes a good Pokemon

Not to be contrarian, but I don't mind monotypes. I think they should tweak it a bit to add a higher STAB effect for monos though.
