And, I don't think by re-visiting older aspects will just be for nostalgia pandering, per se, especially since the anime has a ton of plot points that were never resolved, character arcs that were thrown out, hundreds of characters that were implied to be more but only got an episode to shine, and even just anime-only lore that was shown off, if not even just hinted at, and the rumors are they're going to be using all of these toys to make something greater; which I think is great. It'll be a nice change of pace if the anime is actually more story driven.
I don't think it was even intentional for them to jump ship either, right around when so many Pokemon fans hit their breaking point. At worse, it was a finger at GameFreak for giving them no warning about the lack of Z and them having to play catch-up with the SUMO anime and they wanted to feel in-control, but, I think it was more just happenstance than anything. But, it is funny to see the Anime make a big deal about the Pokemon World being one giant thing, while GameFreak is making Galar as removed as possible
