People are getting mad that Starters have followed patterns more in recent games (buff, cool, waifu) but that's just because they have the data to make those patterns now. Over many different games they tried different things and got data on what was the most popular. They're not randomly deciding to make these kinds of starters it's just what the people want. It's the same reason why they only make bipedal starters now, the quadrapeds were unpopular. Theyre a business giving their customers what they demand.
