Aside from the starter evolutions,the design leaked lately are actually quite solid.
I just don’t understand why Gamefreak reveal so little info,they just can’t build up hype.The officially revealed designs and features are not that interesting.Not to mention the disastrous 24-hour livestream,which is a stupid tactic to reveal only 1 pokemon.

The main reason, I believe, is because of all the criticism of previous generation.
For exemple, with SunMoon, almost all the mons were shown and people complained that there was nothing new to discover.
Now it appear that they are on the other way, showing nothing.

I agree why did they choose to show crap like duraladon instead of this. The other pokemon shown were pretty standard for the most part. Too much reliance on Kanto when this game has more than just new forms for that gen. It's less how much they showed and more what they showed.
I wonder if the same is true for the game's features.

What hype is there to build?
People who like pokémon will buy pokémon anyway and people who bitch and moan about everything aren't going to buy it no matter what.
So might as well reveal as little as possible and let players discover stuff.

I notice the same, is like they pur more effort in regular pokemon compared to the starters. I just disagree that Rillaboom is in the same level as the other two starter, Rillaboom is cool looking even if you don't ignore the drum.
