I think there'll be at least 1 Gigantamax for each region, and at least 1 Galarian form for each region except Kalos and Alola because they're obviously going to implement Galarian forms into Go the same way they did Alolan forms.

That makes sense. Why make a mega for a pokemon you are already creating? If you want it to be that way just make it that way since the start, cutting features just to sell them as megaevolution is fucking retarded, I'm glad they only did it with Diancie.
That's why Kalos' dex will always be "complete", because they don't need gimmicks to be complete, but Galar's dex will never be complete once gen 8 ends because this new gimmick will be cut and Galar shitmons will stay as shitmons forever

Because it's the hot new gameplay mechanic that the battles now centralize around for the player, it's like if Alola monsters couldn't use Z-Moves and got no Totem battles.

It's completely different because new pokemon aren't limited to one single generation when chosing its move set, but almost every single pokemon is limited to 1 single form once you finish training him. The megas replace the pokemon's original form, so making a new Goodra in the same gen you are releasing the original Goodra is retarded, but the Z moves never replace your original moveset so there's no reason to not give Kommo-o one, there's no overlap.

Basically it's like if Lycanroc already had an exclusive Z-move in Sun/Moon and then they made a new one for Ultra that does pretty much the same but better. Why? Why not make the original Z move as good as the one you made for Ultra? That's what you wanted for Kalos

That's only acceptable if you consider Megas as solely a cross-gen evo to outright replace the original. But most Megas clearly didn't have that in mind, so why not give Kalosian Pokemon an additional temporary super form? They clearly figured it was a good idea for something like Diancie, why didn't they think it was an interesting enough mechanic to use for any of its other new Pokemon? All it ended up doing was making sure your team never centered around one of the new Pokemon, so all the important figures in the game were Gyarados or Gardevoir or Charizard/Blastoise/Venusaur or Lucario.
