sobble2 is not the shiny version the sobble3 is greener than people think because the white balance is off. sobble3 color scheme is somewhere between 1 and 2.
indoleaker also confirmed sobble2 was not shiny so stop repeating this

For starters they tend to let different people design each stage. So turner designed the first stages and likely the second ones I'm guessing, then some one else designs the last one. Its like a collab effort thats fun for the designers themselves since its cool to try and make your own design evolving off of some one elses but for the actual people paying for the game its a nightmare.

Some other starters' middle stage look like updated first stage but then they just changed when they evolve into the final stage.
See all Gen 1 starters, Chikorita, Totodile, Grovyle, Servine, Dewott, Chespin, Froakie, and all Gen 7 starters.

turner didn't design any of them. It was said sobble for example is designed by 2 women
They already said this gen they let programming staff collab with artists and design pokemon together. Turner only gives them pointers if a design needs further tweaking
