Are you referring to Twitter folk? I thought they were the ones passionately defending the game. I haven't been on /vp/ in several years, thank god you kids are fucking annoying but the leaks have brought me back so I'm not super up-to-date.

There's been a pretty strong hateboner ever since the announcement of the dex cut, but frankly I'm not touching Gen VIII because of the shitshows that were Gens VI and VII. Yeah, I'll keep up with the leaks and the datamines and I'll listen to all the ripped music, but I'm not paying for a half-finished game that's asking me to pay in four different ways on top of the game just to get all of the on-cartridge content.
