Anyone saying they’re different, they’re not. There’s only Legendary Pokémon and non-Legendary Pokémon. The “mythical” distinction is for event-exclusive Pokémon not found in the game, but those Pokémon are Legendary.

Then what defines a mythical? By that logic mythicals don't exist at all because any Pokemon can be a mythical. Mythicals have literally been defined as such:

Any legendary that can only be obtained via events.

Deoxys does not satisfy that requirement therefore it isn't a mythical. You cannot refute this.

Legendaries are ones that you can meet in-game without needing events.
Mythicals are ones that you have to get through events or other special methofs outside of the games.
