I'm not sure if I'm just biased but all the new Pokemon have a "this was designed for ease of 3D modelling" feel to them for me.

I can't really describe it.

As if this random first-stage bug would ever get its own merch.
They're using stock 3d model shapes, it really shows. There's no sense of texture.

I think that's the main issue. This wasn't a problem on the 3DS because of the low resolution, but it looks weird with a "better" one. Pikachu in this image looks weird to me as well because of this I think. It looks like he has smooth and shiny skin instead of fur.

I literally just mentioned in another thread that Impidimp and its evos look like something designed in MS Paint.

It looks like the pokemon were designed in the 3d modeler first, instead of originating as a monster sketch and THEN made into 3d.
