I think it's the picture of the model we were shown that's throwing everyone off. I need to see it in motion, but a lot of the concepts going around like OP and that one art of him firing water with a finger gun make me see its potential.

I'd agree if pokemon actually animated their pokemon, but they don't. At best the attack animations will be decent but I'm 99% sure it's battle idle will be that dumb perfectly straight standing pose.

His design is great, the execution is horrible. He's too straight, static, boring and proportioned oddly. Had they stylized him his a bit and gave him a less of a human anatomy (hate to sound like a broke record, but Randall?) a dash more of monster/animal, he would be great. He's just too skewed and awkward looking.
