I was just about to make a thread about this. 90% of what they've shown has been mono typing perma boxed garbage shitmons. I honestly wonder of they just think; mono types = gen 1 = normies will consume. Either than or theyre trying to casualize it even more but that makes less sense since theres still other gen pokemon in the game.

there's nothing wrong with new monotypes, we rarely get them. what matters is their stat spreads and movepools. it's okay if we get another mono ground type once it isn't another slow physical mon with earthquake and rock slide.

I guess. It just seems like wasted potential. Corsola was water/rock, so to me it would make sense that the gala version would be ghost/rock. Why should I choose this mon over literally every other monotype ghost? With dual typing it would have a larger movepool and one that no other ghost pokemon has.
