>>40734617I really hope that the dex opening up gives access to the pure forms of all four... like I love the concept. I can totally get behind these if we somehow also got to see the full forms. Then j coule even appreciate how messed up these are! But without the pure forms, it feels like a tease, and even though we can see some of the obvious screw ups, I don't feel I'm getting the full effect of how bad it is, because I can't picture what should have been.
And the thing is, I have confidence that they actually designed the full forms... they take pokemon creations seriously and think about how they would move in and interact in their environment. I feel like they had full forms in mind even if they knew they were gonna combine from the get go because they'd have to know where to cut them, how they were supposed to move, etc.
I could forgive not having full forms if they did something like gove them evolutions where the new created min better mixed its two halves into a wheel seamless creature. That would have been neat: like they worked with what they were and made something brand new that fit!
The animations might make me appreciate them more, but I just really hope we get full forms this gen and even this game. There's obviously no room in the dex for them, but we do know the dex expands post game and I'm hoping it's a post game treat. They'd have to have the full fossils findable though... otherwise, you'd have four top pieces, four bottom pieces with a combined total of 16 combinations and I just don't see them doing 16 individual pokemon. MAYBE they'd do forms...so like if you do top half Draco and Bottom half Zolt, it's still the same name and type as Zolt top half and Draco bottom half. But in that scenario, you'd still have a lot of new pokemon because you could but draco and Arcto together which was not possible before.
I don't want to think about how/if breeding works...
