Double familiar post yet my favourite started in gen one was bulbasaur because he's better than charilard, charizard is LITERALLY a dragon but he's not even dragon type, he's literally more of a dragon than dragonite but chrarizard isn't dragon type... how embarrassing lol

Poor Chairzard lost both his Megas, the only thing keeping him from drowning in the meta.
Also, the most relevant of his counters in the lower echelons made the jump, His worst counters in the highest tier is in, and excellent Stealth Rockers for any potential tier is dime a dozen.
I feel sorry for Zard, this will be his worst gen in some time, perhaps his worst ever.

Zard was the King of Gen 4 NU, and a fairly solid contender in Gen 5 NU(second best Fire mon in NU after Magmortar).
Honestly, he may end up in a similar position to Gen 5- one of the reasons regular Zard fell in the ranks in Gen 7 was the new Fire Starters- Delphox(formerly Gen 6 RU) and Incineroar(the clear king of Gen 7 NU) both ending up down there now.

While I'm a Zardfag I really don't get why GF would remove the other starters of all things.

Only makes me more certain this is a temp thing to sell a DLC with full Dex later.

I don't particularly care for Charizard myself, but as someone who has loved the Eevee line since at least Gen 3, I totally feel for you. I didn't ask for that ridiculous G-Max form it got, and I get nervous that Eevee will eventually be shat on or used for shitposting the same way that Charizard is due to the sheer amount of attention they get compared to other Pokemon.

Sometimes, popularity can be just as much of a curse as obscurity.

"DUDE WHAT IF NEW EEVEE FORMS" is so common of a cry that it's almost a meme at this point it's so ridiculous. Eevee and its evolutions have always been grossly popular due to its gimmick, and I say this as someone who's favorite Gen 1 pokemon was Vaporeon.

Funny coincidence that the games people call the "bad" generations are the ones without new Eevee evolutions...
