I was never planning on getting sword and shield since the original dex cut announcement. I decided, I don't care anymore. They can do whatever bullshit they want to this gen, and I might shake my head or admit something looks interesting, but I'm not going to outright care.
I get a bit annoyed at how much attention charizard got, but figured it was just popular and the other gen 1 starters were there just without marketing because... reasons. I hated genwunners the whole goddamn time, but accepted that all the new shit was going to be gen one pokemon.
Then I find out Charizard is literally the only returning starter line. Something snapped. I haven't been angry about this game in MONTHS, and it finally found a way to bother me. Not even pretending this isn't just blatant favoritism at this point, not even pretending to care about anything but marketing. Fuck me, I LOVE most starters in general, and even had an appreciation for charizard before all this nonsense. Venusaur was my favorite gen 1 starter, but I liked the other two just as well...
But no. We can't have that. I've just got to accept that even when I can't think of anything worse, it can always get worse. I couldn't possibly imagine a way for this game to make me angry again, but holy shit... it hit me. I'm just so tired of this bullshit.
