But then news started coming out

I'll be honest I didn't care about the cut dex at all, I was just happy fans are finally calling Gamefreak on their shit because I found many of the latest games awful, couldn't finish them and re-sold. Then I saw more shit and realized these games aren't going to change for the better and now GF is going to get away with doing even LESS, so I better just forget abot it.

Unless something drastically changes I'm not buying these games

I was possibly going to by it despite the garbage graphics if it looked like it was fun, but then the dex cuts murdered things for me. I slowly considered buying it (used) anyway to play with some of the few new Pokemon I liked, but the vast majority of the designs are horrific and a 400 size dex is unforgivable. They fucked up worse than I could have imagined this time.

Thank god Luigi's Mansion 3 turned out great since Pokemon completely suicided itself.

Same, I think half the new mons are cool but they're no way worth dropping $60 for a gimped game that deleted all my bros and that's even worse than XY, I couldn't even finish that one. And based taste, I'm only halfway through and the game's already exceeded my expectations, even the boiler floor was annoying in a fun way, and the animation work is great and cute.

Last games I’m buying then I’m fucking off from this series. Literally had high hopes for dex number new mons and post game but after seeing there’s 400 in total which is okay but really not justifiable, the shit pingu design and battle tower. I suddenly realised that Gayfreak really don’t give a shit anymore. Sure my purchase will increased their sales by two (yes I’m buying both and just wanted to) but next tear if they fuck up DP remakes which I’m sure they will, then I’m dropping the series entirely.

I’m against the games but you’re setting yourself up for disappointment if you don’t expect the games to sell at least 16 million. Hardcore fans represent a tiny proportion of sales and whatever hardcore fans skip will likely be cancelled out by the new fans who just want a game to play this holiday on Switch.
