I don't believe you've ever played competitive because if you did you'd know they could limit it to RegionalDex onlyhell you don't even need to play it to figure that out and never allow NationalDex if they really wanted to balance it. And not just for VGC they could put restrictions and different rulesets online as well.

We'll only know once stats of new pokes and abilities are datamined. Sure they did remove several stall cancer and other shit, but what's the point with Gen8 pokes will just replace them
