This is the first time I've thought this and been playing since Gen 1. More than half of Gen 8 is bad. Now I know how people feel about Gen 5.

I've been playing since gen 1 too, and I feel the same way about this gen as I have any other. Some great designs and some awful shit ones, with most just kind of neutral and boring.

Fact: If you showed these Pokemon to people 2 years ago they would say it's a fucking terrible bunch of designs that don't look like Pokemon in the slightest.

I've literally always hated people who say that but now i'm starting to think the same of the new designs. These new designs feel too cartoonish and toy-like, or simply too bizarre (not in a good way, unlike some pokémon from previous gens)

This is way worse than the reboot of the franchise that gen 5 was supposed to be. GF doesn't know what to come up with anymore and their laziness has been showing for the 3 past generations.
For me this is the final nail in the coffin for pokemon in the coming years; they are tired of this franchise and so am I.
