Depends on abilities and stats of the new pokemon, and if any old pokemon got updated. For example, if the new electric/poison mon gets dry skin, it shuts down toxapex. It's a niche example but just hypothetical, hopefully we see some practical counters.

I wonder if sub-1200 shitters will ever understand that every single meta, every format, every tier, every generation has widely used Pokemon. Do you think before Landorus no Pokemon ever was used a lot? Or that in tiers/formats where Landorus isn't legal or isn't as good that there aren't other commonly picked Pokemon?

Groudon-Primal in Ubers or Scizor in UU or Incineroar in VGC have more usage than this thing.

Are there multiple poorly checked pokemon left that we'd need Lando for?
So far my biggest concern with this gen is breaking defensive cores/stall.

Wowsers! It’s almost like the whole point of the game is to have a team that covers as many based as possible for weaknesses both in typing and in team composition.
It’s almost like Landorus-T is good since it can fill many spots on a team and prevents Pokemon like Mega Mawile or Mega Pinsir, and there are still tons of Pokemon you can use to threaten and beat out Landorus-T.

In fact, Lando-T only has 4 sets for the 3 generations it was in, while T-tar has 4 in Gens 3, 5, 6, and 7, and 5 in Gen 4.
