Before you downvote please just take this into consideration. I know about all the drama with only 400 pokemon, and how a lot of surprising stuff was excluded, Blah blah blah. To be honest I'm still a bit on the edge also. But think about this

It's very likely that all our pokemon will have extremely polished models and moves

The competitive scene will be pretty balanced and have a lot of variety. Not the same 4 legendaries for every match like old gens

With less pkmn, other aspects of the game will probably be very good. For instance story and graphics.

Nintendo has been pretty dlc crazy as of late, so I wouldn't be surprised if we got more and more pokemon. ( maybe for free like pokemon go style Edit: it turns out they arent gonna patch in new stuff so oof

And honestly who gives a crap, it's still probably gonna be a great game.
