>>40793318That argument works as much as gamefreak wants it to work. Runerigus is the spirit controlling the clay shards, but it is part ground. Rotom is just the spirit controlling the machine, yet it gains the secondary typing that matches the appliance because it's cooler than all forms being electric/ghost like originally. Sewaddle line just wears leaves, but it is enough to be part grass.
G-corsola should be rock/ghost because it makes as much sense as it being pure ghost or water/ghost, but it's cooler, and the type logic is loose enough that cooler should always take priority. Otherwise you end up with a million of boring pure electric types, or a lot of pure ghost where there's no need.
