uhhhhhhhh the ride system was pretty enjoyable although lacking, the idea of a hawaii inspired region was good although poorly executed, UBs were a fun concept, it had mega evolutions, i really liked the starters aside from cringecineroar
the legendary trio was really well designed aside from the sun legendary that's weak to fire

They were good games that really tried to push the franchise forward, some ideas were good (like the poké-rider) some wasn't executed well(trials) and some things felt off (like the fact that your MC doesn't even have facial expressions), but they're still solid Pokémon experiences, i just think that Alola don't have many cities and stuff like that, feels kinda of empty and the ""sequel"" wasted a opportunity to fill stuff in. I'd give a 7/10, with is usually the kind of score that a pokémon game deserves.

Had some of the greatest designs in the series, in my opinion. Last games with the national dex. Overall very comfy games. Amazing soundtrack. Beautiful region. Tried some new things, even if they didn’t land as well as they could have.

To be fair they didn't even have a National Dex. But despite that you could still transfer Pokemon that weren't in the Alola dex. Good times.

The UBs was a disappointment as well they're supposed to be other dimensional weird aliens but they're EXACTLY like regular mons, so what's the point? i wish UBs were just super powerful creatures that you couldn't catch and have like a enourmous hp bar.

Based for being the first mainline games without overworld chibi models and a grid-based overworld system.

Cringe for shoving Rirrie down you throat throat throughout the story and the handholding via Hau giving you like fucking five Max Revives really early in the game. Also cringe for not making the region a bit more expansive. I wish I could’ve gone inside the Wela volcano considering there’s some concept art of it showing off its interior.

A few of the music tracks and a few of the characters were alright, and removing HMs was nice. Otherwise, very little good and mostly bad.
