The designs this Gen have been about on par with the Alola games, which is to say the worst the entire series has to offer by far. Imho, quality Mon design peaked in Gens 1, 2, 4, and 5, which is a shame since the latter two also had a shit-ton of "misses". But when they hit, oh boy did they hit. Some of my favorite designs of all time come from Gen 4~5 (Leafeon, Togekiss, Hydreigon, and Meloetta to name a few).
