Has anyone put him together yet? What is this snake/dragon thing it’s depicting on the rune? And he’s hexagonal too, just like the dynamax Pokémon lairs and chairman rose’s logo, what could this mean?

This dude is a much better take on the original. Cultural references should always be vague and not quite the same as the real life counterparts. That's why seeing a fucking sarcophagus just looked ridiculous back then.

its a viking runestone that has Jörmungandr in it, which is a World Serpent in norse mythology. not sure how it ties into the pokemon lore

Like how Cofagrigus is based on ancient human relics, Runerigus is probably based on early cave drawings. Yamask just seem to dig being around ruins, so in Galar they've possessed something else since pyramids were never built there.

Someone edited it together before, it's just a stylised snake.

Not Arbok, Ekans, Rayquaza, new snakes or anything. Not even Eternatus. Could be an unleaked mythical, but unlikely.

nope unique evolution, cofagrigus is still in the game but it doesn't evolve from galarian yamask

if your yamask is galarian, it evolves into runerigus
if your yamask is not galarian, it evolves into cofagrigus

Its literally based on a real thing. Its as blatant as a pharoahs coffin. The only reason the coffin sticks out more is because you know what a pharoh coffin looks like but not this rock. The only difference in this situation is that pharoh coffins are much more recognized. Thats it.

The Meowth looks pretty different, so call it a new Pokemon distantly related to Meowth or make Runerigus just Galarian Cofagrigus. There’s a lack of consistency.
