They might not have ever even BEEN full. They might've just planned them to be halves all along, and I feel like taking that aspect away from them feels kinda backwards. I can understand it to a degree, but I don't think I'd really wanna see what they'd look like "normally". The mystery is part of the enjoyment. It's like the bottom half of Diglett. People have always wanted to know what it looks like, but not knowing what it is is half the fun.
plus the 4 fossils are obviously already perfect and flawless in every way so why would you want to change them
