I’m not mad about this. Well, including Dwebble line, Shellder line, Corphish line, Krabby line AND binacle line is a lot of crustacean type creatures, but Barbaracle looks like an eldritch monster with weird colors so it fits Galar well.

Barbaracle was genuinely one of my least liked pokemon and probably my most hated pokemon near the launch of XY. But somehow somewhere mid gen 7 he shot up considerably high and my opinion of him now is largely positive. I think it's because I've come to terms with how stupid and effortless pokemon have generally been since gen 5.

Barbaracle probably comes close to qualifying as my favorite 6 pokemon. it's the only one I've used beside florges in more than one playthrough.
