Best Pokemon ever made is HeartGold/SoulSilver but Let's Go! Are amazingly good games, if they had at least the Kanto pre and evolutions AND wild battles they would be perfect. Overworld encounters was a great choice.

I've played since red/blue and I agree.
Not for nostalgia, mind you, I just miss these games being simpler and without a stupid save the world plot.
Also I loved the capture mechanic.
