Masuda was full of life and enthusiasm when Black and White/2 came out. He was at his creative zenith, and Black/White were practically a rebirth of the franchise to him.
Now it's been 10 years and he's starting to gray and approach retirement age. He's lost his luster and is slowly checking out. I'll always love Masuda, but he hasn't been the same since probably the XY days
