Why does it seem like there are a lot of people who just want Pokemon to be generic realistic animals? It seems like whenever gamefreak tries to make a Pokemon who is more fantastical or creative than "it's a dog" or "it's a tortoise on fire" you get a bunch of people screeching that it's not a Pokemon and that its shit. Its just really strange to me that there would be people who want the monsters to be so simple and boring.

Gen 8 is doing a lot of fun stuff with the Pokemon and all I'm seeing about that is anger at Turner for not making another generic bat or whatever.
