So is S/M better than Sw/Sh? From what I've seen so far it's pretty sadly true :'(

I hated SM but even it looked more fun than SwSh and had some good post game content in USUM despite that game being a huge stepdown.

So far it looks like SUMO had far more love put into it's creation. It honestly was a step up from X and Y, and we've regressed so fucking badly now. The 3DS games even look better when you take the hardware into account. Not to mention the fact that SUMO's character designs are way better (the only exception is the player avatar).

Some of the things it'll depend on are what the Y-Comm is like and if there's anywhere with rematchable trainers like the Buffet. On top of that, I don't know if Powers are gone again.

The only thing that really held SM/USUM back were the frequent cutscenes - they weren't too bad the first time around but on second playthroughs the frequency and railroading does get a tad annoying, especially since they were concentrated in the beginning area.
