Yes, I prefer to learn everything myself in-game (or at least I did in the case of Pokémon) but I have never avoided learning it all beforehand because I care.
For the same reason I look up what happens in shows and read the last couple pages of books fairly often. If I don't like how it turns out then why would I bother? It's a waste of time.
Do you take vacations and do things randomly? Because planning it means you know what will happen and never have to experience it, right? Especially since you can even look the places up on Google Maps or via other people's pictures/videos, right?
There is no such thing as a spoiler unless you don't like a thing.
No one in their right mind would think you sane if your friend walked in with a black eye and you freaked out at them for trying to tell you what happened just because you saw the end result. Nor would they believe you care about that person. And they'd be right on both counts.
Do you never replay a game? Obviously not because now it's spoiled, right? Never re-read a book either because it's spoiled, right? Fuck rewatching that show you say you like because it's spoiled since you have watched it before. And screw that "favorite" song which you will NEVER listen to again, right? OH, wait excuse me, you never even actually listened to it. you read the lyrics one day so now you never need to listen to because it's spoiled.
Only brainlets who 100% demonstrably don't like a thing think spoilers exist.
