Pokemon games are made for children. If you intend to keep playing Pokemon games you need to accept that the games will constantly be made easier, more cartoony and silly. If you hate that the new designs are too wacky and "don't feel like real animals" or that gamefreak is forcing EXP share your solution is to instead go buy a game made for adults. No one is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to play a kids game. You are consciously making your choice to spend your money and time on that. Don't blame gamefreak when they design their games for their target audience.
