There are three possibilities.
1: The author used a great color that has been around before names. There are plenty "pride" color patterns, you can pick any generation and find something that at least remotely follows one of these patterns.
2: The Pokemon is indeed a trap character but in a fun way, as a trap character in anime. No autism involved. This is a quirk, like Muk Pokemon being reference to cum. Nor canon at all, in game, anime, anywhere.
3: The author might be sjw. Nintendo is very much not. And the last thing GF wants is to completely ruin their relationship with Nintendo so whatever was the intent the fact that the Pokemon is trans is FALSE, within game or Pokemon universe.
