Didn't the ultra games basically just fucking throw shinies at you every 5 minutes?
Shinies are so easy to get now that they aren't even exciting, I caught at least a dozen in Moon just while completing my dex and I've only heard that it gets a million times easier to find them in ultra space or some shit.
