What is the reason for shitting on "dexfags"? Gen 5 had 649 pokemon in it with completely redone sprites, gen 6 had 721 pokemon with completely new 3d models; how can people get mad at fans expecting more than 400 from this new game?

While I understand why it’s bad that more than half of the total mons can’t be in SwoShi, in my normal playthroughs I only use mons from that region, so the dex cut doesn’t affect me too much there, and it seems like a normal experience from a pokemon game. Post game is a different story because I usually transfer my favorites over, and I can’t do that for all of them this time. But like I said before, it should still be a fun experience, so seeing people so upset that they decide not to play the game or pirate it because of the cuts just kinda seems like an over-reaction?

Don't forget that they don't even make pokemon models to begin with. The work is outsourced to Creatures Inc, at least for the 721 of Gen 6.
All the 3DS era models already had HD tier polycounts, which is what caused the games to lag in battle. The only updates they needed were new textures.
There were also about 1500 walking and running animations made for SM which Game Freak didn't even use. Now some are used for the Wild Area and camps, but still no following pokemon because reasons.
Oh, and don't you wonder whatever happened to all the updated LGPE models they made for Kanto pokemon which inexplicably didn't get into Sword and Shield?

Because the models on the 3DS were extremely low poly compared to the new ones and most people aren't going to use every pokemon anyways. They're only complaining about all of them not being in out of their autistic sense of "order".

You know nothing about 3d models, they can be exported/imported to every 3d modeling software back and forth, including textures, bones, etc.

I can perfectly understand them since one of the main points of the franchise is the collecting aspects, so it really doesn't make any sense to strip down this content, but at the same time i think it was inevitable, there is just too many of them.
