>>40834864If your Toxapex is forced to run poison STAB, you've already lost. Without Recover or Protect, you lose a lot of your walling. Dropping Scald means physical attackers can force you out since they aren't risking a burn. Switching out Toxic or Toxic Spikes cripples its main way of dealing damage throughout the match. Toxapex also wants Haze to prevent being setup fodder and with Mega Stones and Z-Moves gone, Knock Off is now a bigger nuisance than ever. You also need to rework your EV spread to ensure a 2HKO with Sludge Wave.
Gunk Shot would honestly be better if you want to bait in G.Rapidash since it has worse physical bulk and Toxapex has a better but still miserable base attack, and you'd still have to invest in at least 96 EVs and use an attack-neutral nature to OHKO a completely uninvested G.Rapidash (presuming it has the same base stats are regular).
