I remember during my first playthrough of Y I decided to make a team with one pokemon from each gen, while trying to keep a reasonable type coverage
the only gen I struggled to find a pokemon I liked was gen 4

Gen 5 has a couple objectmon people absolutely LOATHE so they mischaracterize the entire generation based on them. A more accurate Gen 5 would be the Gen 1 mon with slightly cartoonier proportions and some electric zigzags or flames on it, since so many Gen 5 pokemon were meant to work like American equivalents to the Japanese pokemon of Gens 1-4.

Quit being a baby. Gen 5 introduced a bunch of objectmons after Gens 2-4 were slowing down with objectmons.
Also, this >>40840835 is already accurate since the vast majority of Gen 5 pokemon designs included faux clothing or attire that alluded to armor.

It's basically just a squat Sawk/Throh. It's accurate in that sense, but those two don't really encapsulate any kind of trend in Gen 5 since it doesn't have a ton of humanoid pokemon.
