>>40846026Too many pokemon villains have goals that are retarded because they’re trying to “solve” problems that don’t fucking exist. Like the whole “too much land vs too much water” thing, dumb as fuck, makes no god damn sense it’s a non issue. I liked Plasma, their goal (on the outside) was something that’s been brought up outside the games, though unfortunately it’s also never shown to be an actual issue, as Pokémon have repeatedly been shown to love their trainers. What I like more about Plasma is it all being a front for Dennis to get power over people.
So, for my evil team, following the recent trend the games are following with one evil team who turns out to be nothing in comparison to the REAL evil team, I’d have one team of basic criminals stealing Pokémon and the like, and one team of seemingly good people trying to put a stop to the criminals. As the crimes of the “criminal” team become more severe, more people are urged to join the “good” team, with several minor characters joining them as you progress. The twist being that the “good” team has been using <insert legendary here>’s psychic powers to brainwash those who join their team, and were controlling the “criminal” team all along, hoping to scare people into joining them and giving them more power and influence, this is revealed after you beat the “criminal” team’s leader and he/she comes to his/her senses, and warns you. Then you’d have to free characters under the control of the “good” team (maybe a boss rush as you storm their base with your rival?), free the legendary, and take the region back from the “good” team’s leader who’s named himself champion after taking over the league
