That's 114 total
XY had 102 with Megas
SM had 105 with Alolans

I wouldn't say a lot more but it's still an improvement

A large portion of SM’s new Pokémon were legendaries or ultra beasts. New non-legendary count was like 64 or 65 without Alolan forms. With Galar, there’s ~80 totally new entries and more form changes even without legends.
