Each game would be like a vacation/adventure where you befriend new mons and be fresh each time.

I actually prefer a home app to battle through when not adventuring.

No it won't. Because now, instead of having your bros in Sun/Moon where you can battle, trade and breed, now they'll be stuck as low res jpegs on your phone. You can't transfer them to Galar because they aren't in the dex, and you can't transfer back to Sun/Moon.

They will be in purgatory until Gamefreak allows you to take them out.

It's going to be Bank 2.0, with the switch version just to allow transfer to Galar for select mons.

Switch isn't bound for this world much longer and I'm such even Nintendo get's that, hence porting 3DS games now for the thing as a cheap alternative towards making new games outright.

Well we know at least trading is slated to come with it, and it'll work on converting Pokemon GO mon's into mons usable by the most current game. Knowing how Gamefreak did doubling dipping twice last gens (X/Y couldn't fully battle ORAS, and then SM was in the same spot with USUM), we're chances are not going to get battling.

yep, bros left in purgatory until game freak stops being lazy. I'm betting the sprites are just going to be copy pasted from the current pokebank, those little PC sprites. Pokemon won't evolve via trade, won't be able to hold items, and you won't be able to edit moves.

Bank 2.0 with a stripped down trading gimmick.
