how is gf going to deal with these region exclusive evolutions in the following gens?
wouldn't it be weird to go back to regular mr. mime without an evolution?
or wilkl they just never bring him back again?

any species that exists has its full regional line available, as proven by persian/cofagrigus existing even though only galarian meowth/yamask is in-game. So for example if Hoenn Linoone is in a regional dex then Obstagoon will still be in the game.

Unless they retcon so Zigzagoon was just the Hoenn regional variant. Now they cane just rehash pokemon in new games with new types instead of making new ones.

Same thing they did with SM and LGPE. Trade noc for the form and they evolve like normal, and everstone to breed the original from the variant. Its not all that complicated here.

As much as I doubt gamefreak is ever gonna bring back all the pokemon back, they could do what they did in gen 4 and allow you to build your safari zone and then have regional sections of your safari zone.
