>>40854659Early on in the game Charizard actually becomes another choice for a starter, similar to XY you get a choice of a second starter pokemon, but in SWSH it is between Charizard, Charizard, and Charizard. Later on you will have the opportunity to catch Charizard, just in case you pick Charizard instead, but will only have around a dozen scripted encounters, so make sure you don't fail to catch Charizard! Of course if you do manage to fail, you can recieve a free gift charizard from an NPC in your home town. Although only level 64, since you get it early on Charizard is likely to be an excellent companion.
