Taking pokemon red and blue out of the context of the 90’s and being the progenitor of the franchise you now love is stupid. Is it better than fire red and leaf green, no, but the times and technology were different, so were expectations. The originals were great when hand held gaming was coming into its own. Pokémon are content but the not only form of content.
Platinum didn't cut gen 5+. It doesn't have gen 5+ as the result of the passage of time moving forward and not back.
Platinum had all the Pokémon at the time. It didn't CUT Pokémon to add Battle Frontier.
ORAS *cut* Battle Frontier.
Sword/Shield is cutting Pokémon themselves with nothing but curry in return.
1 Pokémon does equal 1 content in this scenario, because SwSh doesn't have any other content to make up for Pokémon.
Also, BIGGEST MEDIA FRANCHISE, it shouldn't have to compromise.
