> b-but i can't play with my favoritesyeah the only thing you can play with those pokemon is story related content. laddering disallows pokemon not from this generation, so its exactly the same. call me an idiot for all I care, as a big fan of this series there is no reason to implement all the pokemon into the main games, because the amount of people using a specific pokemon in comparison to the time and effort to recreate everything is just not worth it. also having less pokemon allows other pokemon, who aren't your favorite 3 in the game to shine. there are so many of them, and the sheer amount it just robbing other not so popular pokemon of their spotlight. i'd rather have maingames with restricted but changing pokedex'es than all 1000+ squashed into one game.
