>>40862866I keep telling people I talk to that I hope they can enjoy the game, despite it's flaws. But, I really don't want them to.
I wouldn't ever wish that anyone would have have a bad time, with anything really, and usually I can I can appreciate that people can enjoy something despite it's flaws (there's a ton of content I know is flawed, but still enjoy) but it just feels like people are being purposely oblivious to the flaws that GameFreak is implementing.
Maybe if people were coming from the angle that 'This thing has some major flaws, but I enjoy it for these reasons...' I could maybe accept that, but it feels that most people that are looking forward to SWSH have the mindset, 'Well, this is as good as we're ever going to get, so get fucked hoping for something better, and enjoy what little good it has - especially since not buying means nothing.' I have friends that have asked me to keep them blind of the problems, because they don't want to only see flaws in the game; that it's either 'good enough' or 'Pokemon has never been good in comparison to the other games it was released around' - and it's infuriating to me people are just willing to accept something bad because it's 'better than nothing' when there are actual other options, and them accepting something bad could mean it just gets worse in the future.
