The QOL additions are great admittedly, but what does it really matter when 2/3 of the roster and team building options just got erased?

They added this stuff to make g-max factor pokemon actually viable. Also, it lets Grimsnarl get egg moves.

Honestly the whole dynamax mechanic is kind of trash. The fact that I cannot use my old Pokémon in this new game without giving up the new gimmick is dumb. Why would I rebreed a Tyranitar when my existing one should be good enough?

Still have to capture Gigantamax forms and find hidden abilities. This change is helpful but doesn't fix everything.

They did that in gen 6 and 7 too with the pentagram and clover. Just accept that each generation needs you to breed a fresh team.

Only Gigantamax is locked behind rare variants(think Ash-Greninja), all pokemon can Dynamax no matter where they came from.

Breeding for IVs will probably just be faster since you just need to find a 4-6 IV Ditto.
