I actually didn't see a single proper abuser.
No Flare Blitz + U-Turn mon to slap a scarf on, no Chlorophyll mon with stats that can handle the new OU, no fire type breaker (though who knows, Cinderace could do this)
All the more reason for me to shun this new gen's meta

All of the known Cloud Nine users have been purged save for Drampa. Doesn't give a whole lotta options for weather counterplay. Although Weezing is in there too I guess.
Can't think of any Sun abusers in the Galar Dex off the top of my head. Maybe the apple dragon will.

Just thinking about how nice a switch-in Galarian Weezing is for Drampa. Immune to Dragon, 1/4 resist Fighting, 1/2 resist Fairy.

This is the first Gen since 4 where Ice has had some consideration. I love it.

Does Bareaskewda really need rain? I know it has Swift Swim but instead its base speed like 130? I'd rather have adaptability or something to hit harder in the rain.

It means there’s literally no chance it could ever be outrun short of priority, even with minimal speed investment, allowing you to run Adamant and still be fast as shit

I feel like it's just overkill. I use rain all the time and all my Swift Swimmers are a +Atk/+Sp.Atk nature. Base 70/80 imo is perfect for swift swim since you can occasionally utilize Trick Room against stuff like Zard-Y. Though I suppose being fast as fuck allows Barraskewda to beat out Tailwind which is good. I'll give him a try once everything is on Showdown.

What I'm really looking forward to is Life Dew. Hoping it heals more in the Rain. And is properly distributed.

Too bad Lilligant isn't in. IIRC, during the regional Dex phase, Lilligant and Torkoal were a common pairing in Doubles thanks to Lilligant's Chlorophyll and After You. Maybe it has a replacement.

I mean, probably. Isn't Vileplume at least just straight up better than Liligant? Better defensive/offensive typing. And it has access to the pretty cool new Strength Sap move for support.

Its slower speed means it'll be occasionally outsped by some scarfers. Going off the top of my head Vileplume has 55 base speed which at a speed neutral nature 252 EV in the sun it'll speed tie adamant scarf 252 spe Lando (91 base) and by outsped everything scarfed higher than 92 base.
