Holy shit /vp/... These past few days i've actually seen a fuckton of Charizard hatred on all sorts of social media. Genuine concentrated hate towards FUCKING CHARIZARD, and from people who are pretty normie nonetheless. I was wondering why GF would actually go ahead and ONLY add Charmander to the game ignoring all other previous starters despite that obviously being a horrible idea, but that got me thinking:

Remember when Greninja actually became one of the most popular pokemon ever, winning polls left and right and with the fandom begging for more of it, and when he was beginning to spiral out of control they decided to make him utterly Job in the league (to a Charizard, ironically) to knock him down a peg?

What if they also decided to make Charizard the only old starter in the game to purposefully generate vitriol from all the fans of every other starter and pretty much the rest of the Pokemon fandom? Because even my Charizard loving friends are getting sick of him at this point and think it's unfair he's the only one in the game. Are they actually trying to pull off a Thanos and equalize the opinion on the dex so that people don't give too much love to a certain Pokemon only?
