Honesty once they were leaked I was leaning toward rillaboom. But that damn drum still looks so stupidly out of place. Like, wherever it goes it just places down a drum? And what happens when it has to move to dodge an attack? The drum just gets destroyed? Even if it doesn’t, now it has to run back to the fucking drum.

Rillaboom would’ve been perfect if the drum was slightly less thick and was held like a shield, but still had a little stand so it could be placed down whenever. Then it could beat the drum wherever it is and it would be evocative of a spartan banging their shield with their sword to intimidate the enemy, while still being true to the theme of gorillas hitting shit.

On the other hand, I liked the Cinderace design since it was first leaked. I don’t care that people hate it or call it furry, I think it looks nice. It’s the only fire starter I’ve liked besides Infernape. I’m not even a huge soccer fan.

So I’ll probably go fire this gen. It’ll be a nice change of pace, at least.

I'm choosing Sobble so Hop gets Scorbunny, and then I'm immediately boxing Sobble once I catch a Rookidee and/or a Blipbug. All other options are dumb.

This beast of war, especially after seeing his stats and movepool. He's everything I wanted (well almost, I wanted him to be Grass/Rock type but eh, we can't have it all). A grass version of Emboar, mid tier speed, decent bulk and a monsterous attack stat.
His signature move is the best of the 3 starters and his movepool in general is excellent.
I am extremely happy with Rillaboom.
