Leftovers is a good possible hold item on this thing, but I strongly suspect the head wont grow back until the end of the turn. So your opponent will always get a hit in at least once every other turn. Leftovers helps, but this thing is still gonna fall apart if people are expecting something with permanent protection. Also, fire types are often times special attackers.
